The aluminum bus adaptor shown here was fabricated from 1.6″ thick, 6061-T6 aluminum for an aerospace application. After reviewing the customer supplied 2D drawings, we determined that this product would require precision CNC milling. The drawing called out dimensions of 10″ in length, 9″ in width, and 1.6″ in height, it also indicated that tolerances of ±0.001″ would be required.

We manufacture approximately 100 of these components for this customer annually, which also feature raw surface finish, with surface roughness of 32 RMS.
